Frequently Asked Questions

  • DO YOU GUYS DO PIERCINGS?

For now, we do not offer piercings. We would love to offer that service in the future when we find a piercer whose work is up to our standards.

  • DO YOU DO WALK-INS?

Our artists do accept walk-ins if they have time in between appointments. However, your best bet to get new ink would be to book an appointment to ensure you get the right artist for your design and a guaranteed time slot.

  • HOW DO I CHOOSE A GOOD DESIGN?

To choose a tattoo, we recommend you pick a theme that is unique and personal to you. Our artists strive to make unique tattoos that you won’t find on anyone else’s skin. Choose what you want to make the focal point of your tattoo, rather than thinking of a scene (this makes for a much better looking tattoo). And, of course, make sure it’s something you won’t regret!

  • HOW DO I CHOOSE AN ARTIST?

Look at reference photos of the kind of idea you want and pick a style of tattoo that you like. After that, browse through our artist portfolios to see whose style best matches the kind of tattoo you’re looking for.

  • DOES GETTING A TATTOO HURT?

Perceived pain is different for everybody based on personal pain tolerance. What may hurt for some may be very mild to others. Different regions of the body will also cause different levels of discomfort opposed to other regions. Just know that your artist can/will take breaks and will help guide you through the process if you’re uncomfortable in any way.

  • HOW SHOULD I PREPARE FOR MY TATTOO?

We ask that you please bathe before coming into your appointment, as it is not only respectful to our artists, but also prepares the skin for tattooing. Arrive early to your appointment to take care of any paperwork, use the restroom, and take a look at the design with your artist. And lastly, relax! Enjoy a beverage, on us, and calm any nerves you may have if it’s your first tattoo.

  • HOW DO I BOOK AN APPOINTMENT?

Once you have contacted us about a price quote and your artist has accepted your design, we require a deposit of $100 to reserve your appointment time. Once your artist receives their deposit, they will coordinate with you to select a date and time for your appointment.

  • WHAT ARE YOUR PRICES?

Prices vary between artists and are listed under our Team tab. However, the shop has a $100 minimum, no matter how small the design is.

A $100 deposit is required in advance for each session that is booked and will be subtracted from the total cost of your session.

Artists may also occasionally hold flash sales for special events and holidays, so make sure to follow their social links to stay up to date on any special promotions!

  • HOW DO I GET A PRICE QUOTE?

Send us an email that includes: the artist you want to book with, your tattoo idea, the body placement of your tattoo, any reference photos for the artist, your preferred style of tattoo, and any guidelines you may have for the tattoo. We will forward this email to the artist to see if they would like to accept the design. If they accept, they will send back a time estimate for your tattoo. Time estimates are not exact and are subject to change, so take this into consideration when budgeting for your tattoo. Visit our CONTACT tab to fill out a simple form with all the info we need!

  • WHAT ABOUT TATTOO AFTERCARE?

It is important that you heed the aftercare advice of your artist, as different tattoos may have different protocols based on size, color, etc.

We suggest keeping your dressing on for the recommended time your artist gives you. After you remove the wrap, wash the tattoo with warm water and fragrance-free soap at least twice a day. Make sure to pat the area dry with a soft cloth or towel, as opposed to rubbing along the surface of your skin. It is not uncommon for ink, small amounts of blood, and blood plasma to come up through your skin when the tattoo is fresh.

After washing the tattoo, wait a couple minutes for the skin to fully dry before applying ointment/moisturizer to the area.

As your tattoo is healing, it may appear more cloudy and/or scab over. Do not peel the scabs, as it can affect the quality of healing, and consequently, your tattoo. Even as scabs become more flaky, pulling them off can result in scarring and affect the quality of your tattoo.

During the healing process, your tattoo may get itchy. Avoid scratching it, as tempting as it may be. Rather, apply moisturizer to the area and that should help to alleviate any itching.
